Crown Reduction
Reduction of the trees canopy to enhance its life and improve the conditions around. Overall canopy reductions or selective limbs.

We are often called in to care for trees which have had bad work carried out on them in the past, to rescue them from a doomed life of structural failures and other related issues.
Crown Thinning
Thinning of inner growth allowing more light through the canopy. Thinning of the tree canopies can often benefit the health of the tree.
Crown Lifting
Removal/reduction of select lower limbs, raising the canopy height and opening up the area below. Brilliant for opening up views behind and/or helping with light in flower/shrub beds below.
Pollarding
Often seen as a harsh or drastic measure of Tree management its often the only option. A popular street tree management technique, for select tree species. Pollarding is the removal of secondary growth back to a pruning knuckle.
The decision to pollard a tree not previously pollarded if not a decision to be taken lightly, once pollarded the tree will need to be re-pollarded on a regular basis. It changes the trees structure from natural growth to secondary stress growth which if far faster growing and weaker as a rule.
Dead wood removal
Deadwood can cause a health and safety risk if left unmanaged with damage to property or innocent bystanders. Deadwood removal is often done along side other management techniques such as crown reductions/thinning, but can be done separately.
Cable bracing
Often there is weak and included unions within trees which pose as a risk of failure, rather than removing the tree we can install bracing within the canopy of the tree to elevate stress from the weak unions.
Tree propping
This refers to a physical prop to take some of the weight from a stressed root system or low level union. We make these in house, so we'd first need to do a site visit to look over the issue then we can find a solution.
